Ok, so I’ve been waaaayy too busy with work to even think about boat projects to post here, but…I do have a new techie toy (yay!). I recently acquired a wide angle lens for my Canon SLR. I decided to get the Canon EF-S 10-22mm (I have a crop sensor camera) to broaden my viewable area through the lens. Besides the kit lens that came with the camera (an 18-55mm) and a zoom lens (70-300mm) that I use for most wildlife shots, I wanted a closer lens to capture the vast beach landscapes as well as interiors.

I can’t say I’ve been anywhere this week to really give this lens a real test, but I did play around with it some and enjoyed a few of the resulting shots. I’m hoping this lens will really become my “landscape/sunset/beach” lens…I can’t wait to really test it out. Anyway, here are a few of the initial shots from the weekend.
