Mardi Gras finally comes to Snook Bight

I say “finally” because we are a couple of weeks late to the Mardi Gras party…it is pretty much over. But do we care? Um, not so much. We had our usual Sunday evening dock party today, but Mary Kay set the theme a Mardi Gras, complete with her homemade seafood gumbo and shucked oysters. I’m not real big on seafood gumbo or shucked oysters, but I do love a party, especially a themed one complete with a giant bowl of beads. I was given the very important task of social greeter, and I had to make sure that every new person who arrived had their fair share of beads around their neck. Tom even set up his stereo to play some good ole zydeco music. And what a party we had…food, beverages and 2 key lime pies. What an awesome way to end a gorgeous weekend on the docks.
