Blue Turtle Cruising

Progress on the Blue Turtle

So, with so much socializing and beach-going, there hasn’t been a whole lot of projects on the Blue Turtle (although there are many to do). Randy’s father, John Boy, came out a couple of weeks ago to help him remove one of our water tanks that had a crack in it. We had 2 100 gallon tanks, however, when we purchased the boat only one was functioning. One of the tanks had a crack in it.

Originally, Randy and his father were going to try to get the broken tank out in one piece to see if it could be repaired, but it turned out that the tank had to be cut into two pieces in order to remove it. So the broken tank is now removed and we’ll eventually replace the tank. We can still survive several days on hook on 100 gallons, but we will eventually want both tanks when we decide to cruise for longer periods of time.
