Last weekend was sort of eventful. Other than our day at Big Carlos Pass, we had 2 birthdays in our marina: Tom and Bill. Tom’s birthday was actually last Friday, January 11th and Bill’s was the following Friday…so, of course, we had to make it a weekend long event.
A group of us decided to go out on Friday (1/11) evening to celebrate Tom’s birthday since it was actually that day. The plan was to gather for happy hour at Bayfront Bistro, the restaurant at the marina. After that, we carpooled (while some rode bikes) to Times Square on the beach. We gathered at Top O’Mast for a warm-up rumrunner and then Pete’s Time out for dinner. After that, it was downhill from there. Needless to say, we had an awesome time.
On Sunday, the plan was to go on another boat ride on the Island Princess but the ship had some mechanical issues and it was cancelled. We still gathered for our dock party (happy hour, hors d’oeuvres and dinner) and it was a great time complete with Kevin playing ‘Happy Birthday’ on his bagpipes. Who knew we had so much talent in this group?!
