I’m finally getting around to posting about our trip to Cayo Costa 2 weeks ago. We met Johnny and April of Sea Crazy and their friends Steve and Ellie out at Cayo Costa for a relaxing winter weekend. We decided to take along our sunfish sailboat so Corey could sail and explore and take folks for a ride. As soon as we got there, we put it in the water and he was off!

We also got to meet Lucy, the newest crew member of Sea Crazy, Johnny and April’s new puppy that is a Cava-Poo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle mix). We enjoyed watching Sophie and Lucy play and interact.

The weather was a bit chilly, but we enjoyed spending time with Sea Crazy crew and guests. Corey got to captain a few sailing trips with various passengers (Randy, Sophie, Grandpa and April) and even got to surf some with a quick trip to the Love Canal. It was a beautiful weekend overall.

On our return trip, the boys overheard a distress call on the radio. A 42′ Mainship had an engine fire and was calling for help. We soon realized that we would be passing right by them and followed them on the radio. Thankfully, the crew was rescued by the Fire Dept. and Sheriff and all were ok.
