The past 2 weekends were spent renovating our main salon, so needless to say, we were ready for some R & R this weekend. Finally, we had a weekend without any plans and so Randy and I decided that whatever we would do, it would be aquatic. Saturday, we loaded up the car and headed to Sanibel Island and went to Bowman’s Beach. We spent the day swimming, boogie boarding and relaxing. Afterward, we stopped by Doc Ford’s on Fort Myers Beach for dinner. Today (Sunday) we loaded up the dinghy and headed North to Bowditch Beach, at the tip of Fort Myers Beach and beached it right by the pass. Immediately, Corey caught a bucket full of bait fish and started to fish. A couple of minutes later, he had a bite and it turned out to be a baby black tip shark. We had an awesome time fishing and watching the boats come and go through the pass. On the way back we stopped at the Matanzas Inn Upper Deck for a cocktail and bite to eat. Sometimes it’s nice to not have any plans and be able to just beach it.
