Last weekend we headed to Tween Waters Inn on Captiva Island. We had been wanting to take Blue Turtle there and stay at their marina, so we had planned to meet my parents and friends, Mike and Sally, there for a fun-filled weekend. It also happened to fall right between my parents’ birthdays, so we decided we needed no other reason to get together. My parents were joined by my sister, Tracy, and my 2 nephews, Jack and Ryan.

Tween Waters Inn is a beautiful resort located on Captiva Island. They have room and suite accommodations as well as a marina. Marina guests are given the same amenities as the regular resort guests, which means full access to the pool, bathrooms and showers, fresh towels as well as usage of the beach cabanas (for a fee). We were also given a coupon book for specials on drinks at the pool bar and at the restaurants on property. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the pool as well as the beach on our last day. Saturday evening, our group had dinner at The Crow’s Nest to celebrate my folk’s birthday, followed by sunset on the beach. On Sunday, we dinghy’d to The Green Flash, a nearby restaurant with great views on the water, for a fabulous lunch.

I think the boys (Corey, Jack and Ryan) had a blast. They were pretty much in the water the whole weekend, whether the pool or gulf. Randy took Corey and Jack fishing a couple of mornings by dinghy. He said this is an excellent location with it being so near Blind Pass and Redfish Pass.

As usual, the weekend went by too fast and it was time to head home. I think we will definitely be going back to visit Tween Waters.
