It’s hard to believe that just a week and a half ago Randy and I got married. It’s been a whirlwind of memories the past few weeks. Things were so hectic with family in town and getting ready for our trip to the Dry Tortugas and Keys, the actual wedding day is a blur it went by so fast! It was an amazing and eventful day though and we had a blast!

Randy’s roommate from college flew in to take photos of the wedding. Chuck (view his portfolio) did an amazing job with the photography and we are so happy to have these images that captured the moment.
The wedding was held on Fort Myers Beach at beach access #17, also known as Newton Park. The ceremony was simple and quick with the reception held inside the Newton beach cottage. The beach cottage is a restored historic cottage that belonged to Jim and Ellie Newton whose extensive friendships with Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh, and others are recorded in Jim Newton’s book, “Uncommon Friends”.

We had roughly 40 guests with a catered dinner and entertainment provided by Briz & Lady, a very talented young couple with whom we’ve seen play at the Diamondhead several times. Thankfully, the weather cooperated since there seemed to be an impending storm of doom right when the ceremony was to begin. We lucked out and it didn’t rain and the cloud coverage made the temps way more pleasant. My amazing hair stylist, Marcia, did her magic and even hired a makeup artist to do my makeup. Those of you who know me well know that I am a plain Jane and don’t normally wear much makeup. With Chuck handling the photos and Marcia and Star on beautification duty, I felt like I had the best team around for this special day. HUGE thanks to my parents and sis for helping me plan and prep for the reception…could not have done it without them!
