After leaving the Glover Bight anchorage on Saturday morning, we headed to Merwin Key with Maddie on board. The trip was fairly quick but the boat traffic in the “miserable mile” was crazy. We made it safe and sound and dropped anchor. We were surprised to see Royal Tease anchored right next to us. Ron and Mary of Royal Tease are friends of my parents and we’ve been on many boat trips with them. We dinghied over to them to say ‘hi” before heading over to Picnic Island. After Tom and Mary Kay were anchored on Forever Young, they headed for Picnic Island as well. Once there, Randy heard from his friend Rob who happened to be out on the water with his family. We convinced them to meet us at Picnic Island so all the kids could play together. We spent the day at the beach on Picnic Island. When it was time to go, we headed back to the boats to get ready for dinner. We took a lovely dinghy ride over to Woody’s in St. James City for dinner. The next morning it was time to head back to Snook Bight. Time always flies when you’re having fun on the water.
