Blue Turtle Cruising

Fun + boat projects

Usually “fun” and “boat projects” don’t fall in the same sentence and in this case, they don’t. This is what’s been going on for the last 2 1/2 weeks and they have been BUSY. We’ve had some fun…a dinghy trip to New Pass (finally!) with our newly fixed prop, a visit from Randy’s cousin Todd (a.k.a T-Dogg), another visit from a childhood friend from Louisville (Teri and her family) and a new passion in learning how to play my new ukelele. The boat project that’s been going on is a BIG one…we are painting the Blue Turtle ourselves. A quote from a local boat yard was going to cost upwards of $12,000 so Randy and I decided we would tackle this on our own. More details about that to come as we are still in the midst of it…but just wait until you see Blue Turtle. She is going to look AWESOMESAUCE! So to entertain you until then are some photos of the last couple of weeks.
