Blue Turtle Cruising

W.P. Franklin Lock and Dam – Nov. 27-29

The day after Thanksgiving, we took Blue Turtle up the river and to Franklin Locks and Dam. For those who follow this blog you know that we’ve made this trip annually as a sort of family tradition the weekend after Thanksgiving—usually with my parents on Island Time. Since my folks have no longer have their boat, they brought their newly acquired camper and spent the weekend with us. My sister and 2 nephews came along with us for the ride and the boys pitched a tent on my parent’s camp site to spend the night. It was a fun- and family-filled weekend full of amazing weather, bike rides for the boys  and great times by the camp fire roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.
