I’m so late in posting about this very fun weekend we had back in November. Our friends Will and Tiffany (@teamwiff) got married the second weekend in November. These are the very same folks who we helped bring their 48′ Sea Ray Sedan Bridge home from Pompano Beach at the end of April. Their absolutely beautiful wedding was held on a Friday afternoon at the Church of the Ascension on Fort Myers Beach. Randy, Corey and I had a wonderful time at the wedding and reception meeting their friends and family. We couldn’t be happier for the two of them.
The next day, Will and Tiff held a beach party for friends and family at our old stomping grounds, Newton Park on Fort Myers Beach. Newton Park is the location that Randy and I got married at a couple of years ago so it’s a very special place for us. Since Randy and I wanted to take Blue Turtle out for an overnight anchorage so we decided to take her to Newton Park to enjoy the party. Now, we’ve been to parties by dinghy before, but this was the first time arriving to a beach party by trawler!

When we arrived, we were greeted by Will on his jet ski as he filmed us and the beach on his GoPro camera. We put the dinghy in, grabbed a cooler and chairs and headed to the beach. The beach vibe was totally relaxed and we enjoyed great food and company as we watched various games going on at the beach.

As the day headed into late afternoon, the winds kicked up the water some so Randy and I decided to head back into protection where we anchored outside the channel before the Matanzas bridge. We spent a blissfully peaceful evening and morning there until it was time to head back to the marina.
