RV Life
After living aboard and cruising on a boat full time for 12+ years, it was time for us to change things up. Even though we both love the water, the mountains were calling. Both of us are very active and love hiking—one thing we didn’t get to do much of on the water. Our first year took us out west to the Black Hills of South Dakota where we stayed for 5 months over the summer while Randy work camped at the Black Elk Resort & Taproom. While there, we explored the Black Hills and hiked Custer State Park, visited Mount Rushmore and the Badlands National Park. After his work camp job was over, we headed south and managed to visit Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon National Park as we made our way back East to Florida for the winter.
After a summer out West, we were hooked! This year, in 2026, we will be located in Yellowstone National Park while Randy work camps over the summer from April 1st through October 31st. We can’t wait to see what adventures await us!
